Can this be used on top of small section of RV awning where the sun burns it.

I would like to know if this can be applied to an RV AWNING on the section where the sun is constantly burning it while it's in the rolled up position. The section would only be about 13 feet long by about 4-6 inches.  Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer.
