What should I use to apply Butyl Liquid Rubber to my roof?

A combination of a rubber squeegee and a 3/8 inch nap roller are recommended. The squeegee is used to evenly distribute the Butyl Liquid Rubber.  The nap roller will smooth out any trapped air.  If you attempt to pour out the Butyl Liquid Rubber and then roll, the roller will not spin properly.

Normally, a squeegee and a 3/8 inch nap roller.  If your project is over 10,000 sq. ft., you might want to consider hiring a roofing company that has the proper spray equipment as the time will be reduced significantly.
