How would I prep a section of epdm roof that is not sticking to the wood underneath?

16 year old travel trailer.......no active leaks ....but black backing is showing thru.....lots of calk

sure the caulk is fine as long as it is no loose or silicone otherwise remove and replace with a butyl or acrylic caulk  you get approx 42 sq ft per gallon.  the black is just the normal wear of an epdm roof. Just be sure the roof is dry and clean of any actual dirt
