How to prep a rubber RV roof

Question

What steps must be take to prep a rubber RV roof?  There are several small tears in the roof and one corner is wasting away from sun damage leaving several small openings.  That area was coated with a spray rubberised sealant but it is not lasting.

tears are best repaired by putting down the butyl tape you can find on our order form.  Then one coat of our coating.
