What other miscellaneous applications has this been used for outside of roofing? (i.e. other sealing applications)

I am wondering what other applications with success or failure Butyl Liquid Rubber has been used in. I am looking for solutions for sealing the outside of metal container that will be exposed to weather. It will contain no chemicals on the inside, it is just a housing. The sealant would be intended to keep dust and water out of the housing.

Actually for many manufacturing processes whereby they need to coat a certain part, ponds chemical storage.  It basically has to do with that substrates the product will work on and the customer normally will to a test on a certain area
