Can I apply liquid roof directly over wood?

I'm going to have to remove the rubber roof on my rv and replace some of the wood underneath. Can liquid EDPM be used to go over the wood roof without installing a rubber roof first?

Yes we do suggest first an oil based wood sealer and the two coats over wood
