Why has my new turned black?

Question

I purchased 6 gallons for my camper in May 2016, was told we didnt need primer for our roof so didnt use it. As we are pulling into the driveway we can see our roof is now black. Why is this happening and how do we clean it? Not happy that we spent all that money for it to turn black in less than a year.

Hello black is an indication of mold spores you can purchase a mildewcide from camping world that will kill the mold

I was told at camping world yesterday i would need To redo my roof with one their products. None of their products will clean it. I feel as thoughwe wasted our money.

This question has come up many times with customer both before and years after the application.  After discussions with a couple RV repair shops they suggest putting on a treatment to protect the roof from the potential growth of mold spores

Some have used 2-3 cups of clorox on their roof mixed with a gallon of water as well

Black is an indication of mold spores are growing on your roof. There are several mildewcides on the market that will kill them.  I would start with camping world
