Do I need to apply the Butyl Liquid Rubber at a certain thickness?

The ideal thickness is 20 mil (approximately the thickness of 5 sheets of paper) . To best achieve this, chalk off a 50 sq. ft. section of your roof.  One gallon should be used to cover this area.  The thickness will then be 20 mils.
