I have a large area ( approx. 44' x 107') in which I will be installing black mulch, next year. There is currently some mulch there with some exposed ground areas. I was planning to spray liquid rubber over the entire area to seal or minimize it from weeds, and fungus growth from decaying older mulch. Then applying a brand new 2" thick layer of mulch over the entire area. Can something like this be done and will it cost me a fortune to do it. If it is cost prohibitive, then I will use regular landscape cloth and not pursue this train of thought. Thanks.
