Can you apply in sections rather than whole roof in a day

Question

I am concerned about the pot time. Since I will experience temperatures above 80 during the application, I was thinking of doing the roof in sections that can be done with one gallon at a time.

I want to do sections at the front tnen back and work my way towards the peak just forward of center, overlapping each section.

So is this an acceptable approach?

How long would I need to wait before doing the adjoining sections?

How far should I overlap?

yes you can do that you do need to do a 4 inch overlap but wait about 48 hrs if you do an overlap before it has time to develop a "skin" you might peel the previous coating up.
